Dr Gavin Stone is a specialist in Paediatric Respiratory Medicine, Sleep Disordered Breathing and General Paediatrics.  He has held consultant appointments in Children’s Health Ireland at Crumlin and Cork University Hospital.  He is supported by an external senior paediatric speech and language therapist and a team of in-house paediatric respiratory physiologists.

Dr Stone holds post graduate degrees in Sleep Medicine from the University of Oxford and Medical Education from the University of Galway.  He is an accredited somnologist with the European Sleep Research Society and holds HERMES accreditation with the European Respiratory Society.

Dr Stone graduated from University College Cork and completed his Specialist Training with the Royal College of Physicians of Ireland.  Following this, he completed an ASPIRE Fellowship in Paediatric Respiratory and Sleep Medicine.

He is an Adjunct Clinical Lecturer in University College Cork where he teaches on the MSc Clinical Measurement Physiology, MSc Allergy and Clinical Immunology and MSc General Paediatrics.  He has a particular research interest in sleep disordered breathing in children with Down Syndrome.
