Investors in Diversity accreditation
Our diverse community
We employ over 4,000 staff and have 500 consultants working across the multiple locations of our network.
With staff recruited from nearly 50 countries, creating an environment where everyone feels welcomed, valued, and connected to one is our priority.
We actively foster these connections through leadership promotion, awareness and education campaigns, enhanced internal communications, cultural and social events at a local level, and procedures and policies focused on promoting an inclusive workplace for all.
Accreditation
Achieving the Investors in Diversity Silver Award from the Irish Centre of Diversity recognises our network-wide commitment to EDI.
We were the first healthcare provider to achieve this accreditation in 2023.
It highlights the strong EDI awareness campaigns, educational initiatives, policies and training resources we have embedded to date.
EDI in action
EDI is championed at each of our locations by a local volunteer committee, supported by Shared Services staff.
The Chair of each local committee sits on Bon Secours Health System’s Diversity Council. The council is responsible for actioning the EDI strategy. This includes driving initiatives to help achieve our primary goal of embedding a positive workplace culture, as well as continuously improving awareness, data insights, policies, recruitment, events and external partnerships.
This structure allows greater collaboration between our locations and provides the resources necessary to host events, workshops and other fun activities to promote inclusivity and understanding amongst our people.
