Mr Frank D’Arcy is a Consultant Urologist currently practising at the Galway Clinic, Portiuncula Hospital, and University College Hospital Galway (UCHG). He specialises in general urology, with a particular focus on kidney stone disease, minimally invasive surgery for both benign and malignant urological conditions, laser urological surgery, and male subfertility.
Mr D’Arcy completed his undergraduate medical degree and postgraduate Masters of Surgery at Trinity College Dublin. Following higher surgical training in Ireland, he became a Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons in Urology. To further enhance his expertise, Mr D’Arcy undertook a Fellowship in Endourology and minimally invasive surgery at the Austin Hospital in Melbourne, Australia.
In addition to his clinical practice, Mr D’Arcy is actively involved in the training of future surgeons and serves as the Director of Core Surgical Training at UCHG, contributing to the development of surgical education.
Mr D’Arcy has significant experience in a broad range of urological conditions. His areas of special interest include general urology, the treatment and management of kidney stone disease, minimally invasive surgery for both benign and malignant urological conditions, and laser urological surgery.
