Bon Secours Hospital Limerick has celebrated the first anniversary of its new hospital in Ballysimon, marking a year of significant growth and expansion in healthcare services for patients across Limerick and the wider Mid-West region.

Since welcoming its first patients on 15th September 2025, the hospital has welcomed 17 new consultants and continued to expand its range of specialist services.

Key developments over the past year include the establishment of a Hospital Assessment Unit (HAU) and Respiratory Medicine services, alongside the expansion of cardiology services through the hospital's new Cardiac Catheterisation Laboratory.

The hospital also introduced BonsConnect, Bon Secours Health System's new Electronic Health Record, supporting more connected and coordinated patient care.

In partnership with Alliance Medical Ireland, the hospital opened the Mid-West's first PET-CT scanner, further enhancing access to advanced diagnostic imaging in the region. A new Breast Care Centre was also launched, offering the region's only private mammography service.

These milestones reflect the hospital's continued commitment to expanding access to high-quality healthcare services and meeting the evolving needs of patients across the Mid-West.

Bon Secours Hospital Limerick extends its thanks to its staff, consultants, suppliers, referrers and patients for their support throughout its first year.
