Dr Farman graduated from Ayub Medical College, Abbottabad, Pakistan in 2007 and is currently listed on the Specialist Register of the Irish Medical Council. Dr Farman is a Member of the Royal College of Physicians of Ireland and Fellow of European Board of Gastroenterology and Hepatology. He holds consultant position at University Hospital Galway. He completed higher specialist training in Gastroenterology in Beaumont Hospital, the Mater Misericordiae University Hospital, St Vincent’s University Hospital and Mercy University Hospital.
Following completion of specialist training in Ireland, Dr Farman undertook a Fellowship in HPB Medicine and Advanced Endoscopy from King’s College Hospital London, with a main focus on Endoscopic Ultrasound and ERCP. He joined University Hospital Galway as consultant Gastroenterologist in 2020.
Dr Farman has authored several publications. He is experienced in all areas of general gastroenterology, Hepatology and perform diagnostic OGD, colonoscopy as well as therapeutic endoscopy. But his special interest is in hepatopancreaticobiliary diseases and advanced endoscopy.
