Mr Fergus Doyle

Mr Doyle has been a Consultant Ophthalmic and Vitreoretinal Surgeon in the South Infirmary Victoria University Hospital since 2023.  He graduated from University College Dublin and completed Higher Specialist Training as well as a postgraduate Doctor of Medicine Degree in Ireland.

He has published and presented numerous research papers internationally.  He completed Vitreoretinal Surgery Fellowships in St Bartholomew’s NHS Trust, London and in the Birmingham and Midland Eye Centre.  He worked as a Consultant Ophthalmic Surgeon in the NHS before appointment in Ireland.

He trains junior doctors of all grades in surgery, including cataract surgery. He performs cataract surgery and intraocular injections for adult patients in the practice.
