Biography

Dr Jahangir is a Consultant Respiratory & General Physician. He Joined the Bon Secours Hospital Tralee in 2017. He completed his specialist respiratory training in Mercy University Hospital Cork, St Vincent’s University Hospital Dublin, St James’ University Hospital Dublin & East of England Denary Hospitals in the UK. Since 2011 he has been working as a Consultant Pulmonologist in hospitals in Ireland and abroad.  He was Clinical Senior Lecturer in the Royal College of Surgeons Ireland and the Medical University of Bahrain.

Dr Jahangir has a special interest in Interstitial Lung disease, Sleep Disorders, Lung cancer and complex Asthma and COPD.  He is also skilled in all emergency and routine respiratory and general medical procedures.  Dr Azhar Jahangir is a Consultant Respiratory & General Physician who has completed all of his specialist respiratory training in Cork University Hospital, St Vincent’s University Hospital Dublin, St James’ University Hospital Dublin & East of England Denary Hospitals in the UK. Since 2014 he has been working as a Consultant Pulmonologist at the King Hamad University Hospital in Bahrain.  During this time he also held the posts of Clinical Senior Lecturer in the Royal College of Surgeons Ireland and the Medical University of Bahrain.
