Dr. Abid Hussaini is a highly skilled and experienced Consultant General & Interventional Cardiologist with over two decades of experience in diagnosing and treating a wide range of cardiovascular conditions. He is known for his friendly demeanour and exceptional patient-centred care, alongside his advanced interventional techniques and meticulous procedures.

Dedicated to providing exceptional patient care, Dr. Hussaini employs advanced interventional techniques to ensure optimal outcomes for patients. His special interests include, but are not limited to general cardiology issues, cardiovascular imaging, preventative cardiology, heart failure, valvular heart disease, hypertensive heart diseases, and interventional cardiology.

He graduated from Deccan College of Medical Sciences, India in 1994 and completed his interventional cardiology training from Imperial College London, Mater Hospital in Dublin, and University Hospital Limerick.

Dr. Hussaini has several years of cardiology experience, working as a Consultant Cardiologist in King’s College Hospital London, Waterford University Hospital, University Hospital Kerry, Mater Private Cork, and Bon Secours Hospital Limerick. He currently sees patients in his private rooms in Limerick, Bon Secours Hospital (Barrington’s) Limerick and Mater Private Hospital, Cork.

Dr. Hussaini is actively involved in clinical research and has published numerous peer-reviewed articles and case reports in leading medical journals. He also attends several conferences across the globe each year, ensuring he stays updated on the latest cardiology advancements, and continually enhances his skills and knowledge to provide the best possible care for his patients. His passion for furthering medical education does not end there but rather with the future generation, as Dr. Hussaini often devotes time in his workday to teach the medical students on placement.
