Patient testimonials

In February 2024 I got an infection in a small cut on my inner arch of my foot, which made it difficult for me to walk. The pain was excruciating. From then until late April I attended 7 different doctors in my GP practice and VHI clinic and they all gave me Antibiotics and creams. I was still in terrible pain. In desperation I attended the AMAU dept in the Bon Secours whereby they told me there that the infection was gone and that I had an Ulcer that needed to be treated, which I knew it was an ulcer for a long time. None of the aforementioned doctors could tell me that ??? They treated me over 2 different dates in the AMAU and then referred me to the TVN clinic where the Wound Specialist - Darren Carroll started my treatment. I attended the clinic every week and sometimes twice a week. For the weeks I couldn't attend clinic, Darren gave me detailed instructions on how to keep my wound clean and covered. Today 8 weeks later, I can now report that my Ulcer has gone and I am now in the process of healing. A short time with Darren and it was sorted! If only one of the 7 Doctors I had previously seen had referred me to Darren months ago, I would not have gone through the pain I endured because of where the Ulcer was located. Thank you so Much Darren for all you r help and advice

The Private Wound care clinic here is fantastic! Having dressed my husband's non healing wound for over 3 years, we thought this was something he would have to live with. Numerous procedures such as colonoscopies and MRI's failed to return any furth er information. We were hitting blank walls until we found Darren who really was the answer to our prayers. From initial contact he was extremely professional and knowledgeable and told my husband exactly what would need to be done to solve this. In just 3 weeks my husband is better. We both cannot recommend this clinic and Darren highly enough

The private wound clinic here is probably top in the country. I had numerous surgeon and A&E doctors all fail to understand my chronic wound after surgery and my GP and nurses were unable to cope. Then I found Darren and he knew immediately what he was looking at and under his care I healed within weeks. The difference from first to second visit was significant. I couldn’t thank him enoug h for doing what ten or more other medical professionals couldn’t. Very astute person and knows wound care back to front and very up to date. If you struggle with wounds, you need this wound clinic
