Prof. Ross Morgan
Consultant in Respiratory Medicine
The Rapid Access Sleep Clinic at Bon Secours Hospital Dublin provides prompt assessment, diagnosis and initiation of treatment for patients with suspected sleep disorders, including sleep apnoea.
Appointments for a sleep study are by referral from a GP or another consultant. Once a referral has been received and triaged, patients are contacted to confirm an appointment for the sleep study and follow-up consultation with one of the consultant team.
The results of the sleep study will be discussed at the follow-up consultation with the consultant. If a sleep disorder is diagnosed, the consultant will outline a personalised treatment plan. On average, it takes about 4-5 weeks from the receipt of a referral to a diagnosis.
Most private health insurance plans cover Sleep Studies at Bon Secours Hospital Dublin, though some plans may include excesses. Please check directly with your insurer for the exact details. The procedure code is 2139.
