Overview
Our Physiotherapy departments provide expert and personalised care through a team of highly skilled physiotherapists. Each department offers a range of services from musculoskeletal and sports injury treatments to respiratory and cardiac rehabilitation. All our clinicians are CORU registered physiotherapists, Ireland’s regulatory body for Health and Social Care Professionals. Many senior clinicians have advanced competencies in specialist areas, such as pain, concussion and musculoskeletal triage and hold Clinical Specialist Physiotherapist roles, as well as advanced membership of the Irish Society of Chartered Physiotherapists.
Bon Secours Physiotherapists are committed to the highest standards of ethical and clinical excellence, from novice practitioner to Clinical Specialist. We are committed to exceptional and compassionate clinical care for each patient’s journey through our hospital and service. This is achieved by coordinating our care with other members of the multidisciplinary team, both while patients are in the hospital and on discharge.

Referrals and appointments
For appointments or further information please call our receptionist on 021 4801630 or email [email protected].
No referral letter needed for most services, except for men's health, cardiac rehabilitation, pulmonary rehabilitation, phototherapy, and concussion.
Appointments can be made by contacting the Physiotherapy Department directly on 01 806 5339. Appointments are usually available within 24 to 48 hours.
GP referrals can also be sent via Healthlink or by secure email from a healthmail email address to [email protected]
No referral letter needed for most physiotherapy services. Consultant dermatologist referral is necessary for UV Irradiation treatments.
Referrals are accepted from Physiotherapists, GPs, and medical consultants with an accompanying letter.
Self-referrals are accepted for most conditions, appointments can be made by contacting the Physiotherapy Department directly on 061 426294 or [email protected]
Outpatient services are located on the first floor of the Clinical Services Hub.

Billing and insurance
Bon Secours Hospitals have direct settlement agreements in place with all main health insurers. To check if your health insurance policy covers you for your procedure, please try our check your cover tool or contact your insurer.
If you do not have private health insurance or you are not covered for a procedure, we also have competitive self-pay options. For more information on costs, please contact the hospital directly and they can speak with you about your specific case.
