Overview

The Medical Oncology Department provides a comprehensive range of cancer treatments, including chemotherapy, immunotherapy, hormone therapy, clinical trials, and palliative care. Our focus is on delivering modern, evidence-based therapies, supported by close collaboration between oncologists, surgeons, radiologists, and pathologists, ensuring a holistic approach to patient care.

All new cancer patients are discussed in weekly Multidisciplinary Team (MDT) meetings, which involve consultants from various specialties, house doctors, and specialist nurses. This collaborative approach allows us to offer the most effective treatment options and support throughout the patient’s cancer journey.

Bon Secours Hospital Cork has a dedicated Cancer Centre to provide patients with the highest standard of compassionate, future-focused care. 

Referrals and appointments

Referrals from a GP or consultant should be sent via Healthlink.

The Cork Cancer Centre offers additional specialised services, including access to advanced clinical trials. Our facility is equipped with state-of-the-art technology and is designed to meet the needs of both inpatients and outpatients.

Dublin:

The Day Oncology Department at Bon Secours Hospital Dublin specialises in administering chemotherapy, immunotherapy, hormone therapy, and supportive treatments in a welcoming and comfortable setting. Patients are referred to the unit by one of our expert Medical Oncologists, who work closely with surgical colleagues to tailor treatment plans to the individual patient’s needs.

Billing and insurance
