Mr Peter Gormley

Mr Peter Gormley is a highly experienced Consultant ENT Surgeon, having graduated from Queen’s University Belfast in 1977. He is a Fellow of both the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland and the Royal College of Surgeons in England. He has held numerous leadership positions, including serving as the President of the Irish Institute of Otolaryngology and as the past editor of The Proceedings of the Irish Otolaryngological Head and Neck Society.

Professional Roles and Appointments

Mr Gormley is currently a council member and treasurer of the Irish Institute of Otolaryngology Head and Neck Surgery. He also serves as a clinical lecturer in Otolaryngology at University Hospital Galway and is a Consultant ENT Surgeon at University College Hospital. His private practice includes appointments at Bon Secours Hospital Galway and Galway Clinic.

Previous Contributions

Mr Gormley has been a member of the UEMS (European Union of Medical Specialists), where he contributed to advising on ENT matters within EU medical structures. His involvement at both national and international levels has further established his expertise in the field.
