Biography
Dr. Oonagh Molloy is a Consultant Dermatologist and graduate of University College Cork.
She holds an MRCPI and MICGP and completed Higher specialist training in Dermatology in Ireland. In addition to her training, she was awarded an MD (Doctor of Medicine) from UCD for her clinical research in psoriasis and viral skin infections. She is the recipient of national awards for clinical research and is the author of several Dermatology publications and book chapters.
As Locum consultant Dermatologist in the SIVUH, she was involved in developing a peripheral Dermatology service in Mallow General Hospital.
Having an ongoing interest in clinical research, she has been involved in several international clinical trials in Psoriasis, Eczema and Hidradenitis suppurativa.
For the last 10 years, she is National Dermatology lead in an advisory role to the RCPI, ICGP, HSE collaboration: www.antibioticprescribing.ie. This national online resource relates to Healthcare Associated Infections in primary care.
Dr. Molloy is passionate about Dermatology and medical education, at both graduate and undergraduate level. She has tutored for the Diploma in Dermatology at Cardiff University and teaches undergraduate medical students in UCC.
