About

Dr. Francois Saayman earned his Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery from the University of Pretoria, South Africa, in 2004. He obtained a fellowship from the College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists of South Africa in 2011 and a Master of Medicine in Obstetrics and Gynaecology from the University of the Witwatersrand, South Africa, in 2012. He published his MMed research in the International Journal of Gynaecology and Obstetrics. In 2016, he received Minimal Invasive Gynaecological Surgeon certification from The European Academy of Gynaecological Surgery.

He began his career as a Consultant at the Chris Hani Baragwanath Hospital in Johannesburg and later worked as a Private Consultant at Mulbarton Hospital in Johannesburg. In 2021, he moved to Ireland where he has been working as a private consultant gynaecologist.

Dr Saayman treats a variety of gynaecological conditions such as heavy or irregular periods, fibroids, chronic pelvic pain, ovarian cysts, endometriosis, vaginal prolapse, menopause and severe PMS. He also does basic infertility workups and preconception visits.
