Mr Safwat Ibrahim is a Consultant Plastic, Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgeon at Beaumont Hospital and Bon Secours Hospital Dublin.
His main subspecialty interests are Microsurgical Breast Reconstruction and Aesthetic Breast Surgery. His broader practice includes Septorhinoplasty for nasal deformities, Reconstructive Surgery for Skin Oncology, General Plastic, Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgery.
After graduating in 2002, Mr Ibrahim completed his specialist training in Plastic Surgery, followed by a Clinical Fellowship in Breast Reconstructive Microsurgery at the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland (RCSI). He subsequently obtained two international Master’s Degrees in Breast Reconstructive Microsurgery and Aesthetic Breast Surgery from the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona, Spain.
In 2022, Mr Ibrahim was appointed as a Consultant Plastic, Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgeon at Beaumont Hospital. He holds admitting privileges at multiple hospitals, including Bon Secours Hospital Dublin, Mater Private Hospital, Hermitage Clinic, Connolly Hospital, St Joseph’s Hospital, and Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital, Drogheda.
He is a Senior Clinical Lecturer at the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland and an active member of the Irish Association of Plastic Surgeons (IAPS), the Irish Hand Surgery Society (IHSS), and the Rhinoplasty Society of Europe (RSE).
