Mr Akhtar Hussain is an experienced Consultant General Surgeon with extensive training and expertise in minimally invasive and endoscopic procedures. He holds distinguished qualifications from renowned international institutions across Europe and Asia.

After completing his M.B.B.S. (First Division) from Sindh Medical College, University of Karachi, Pakistan (1993), Mr Hussain pursued advanced surgical training and achieved Fellowship of the Royal College of Surgeons, Ireland (FRCS, 2001). He later obtained a University Diploma in Laparoscopic Surgery (M.I.S.) from Strasbourg University, France (2002), reflecting his commitment to surgical innovation and excellence.

Mr Hussain further enhanced his qualifications with the Intercollegiate FRCS (Ireland, 2018) and the European Board of Surgery (F.E.B.S.) certification in General Surgery (Malta, 2018). He also earned an additional F.E.B.S. qualification (Munich, Germany, 2019), underscoring his broad surgical expertise and dedication to continuous professional development.

With over two decades of surgical experience, Mr Hussain manages a wide range of general surgical conditions. His areas of special interest include General Surgery, upper GI endoscopy, colonoscopy, polypectomy, proctoscopy, banding and injections of haemorrhoids, and all minor surgical procedures.
