Dr Joseph Murphy is a highly experienced Consultant Radiologist with a specialised focus in oncology, abdominal, thoracic, and neuro MR imaging. A graduate of NUI Galway, Dr Murphy has extensive training and expertise in advanced imaging techniques. He has held prestigious consultant positions in both Ireland and internationally, contributing significantly to the field of diagnostic radiology.

Education and Training

Dr Murphy graduated from NUI Galway in 1991 and undertook his postgraduate training in radiology at St James Hospital, Dublin, from 1993 to 1997 under the Faculty of Radiology. He further specialised with post-fellowship training in MRI at Addenbrooke’s Hospital in Cambridge and Toronto from 1997 to 2000, refining his skills in advanced imaging techniques.

Previous Consultant Appointment

Dr Murphy served as a Consultant Radiologist at St James Hospital Dublin from 2000 to 2001, where he continued to develop his expertise in oncology and abdominal imaging.
