Dr. Ihsan Ullah

Dr. Ullah is a highly experienced Consultant Interventional Cardiologist based in Limerick, Ireland, with over nine years of specialist experience in cardiology. Since 2019, he has been serving at University Hospital Limerick (UHL), where he has played a key role in delivering advanced interventional and general cardiology services. He is now expanding his practice to include private patients at Bon Secours Hospital Limerick.

Dr. Ullah graduated with an MBBS from Khyber Medical University, Peshawar, Pakistan, in 2004. He obtained Membership of the Royal College of Physicians of Ireland (MRCPI) in 2010 and was later awarded Fellowship of the Royal College of Physicians of Ireland (FRCPI). He completed Higher Specialist Training in Cardiology (CSD – Certificate of Specialist Doctor in Cardiology) through the Irish Cardiology Training Scheme, receiving extensive training in several major cardiology centres across Ireland.

Following this, Dr. Ullah completed a Fellowship in Interventional Cardiology at Trinity College Dublin and St James’s Hospital, where he developed advanced expertise in percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI) and complex coronary procedures.

Dr. Ullah, offering a comprehensive range of cardiology services. His specialist interests include complex coronary intervention, acute and chronic cardiovascular disease management, transcatheter aortic valve replacement (TAVR), and valvular heart disease. He is also fully trained in the implantation of cardiac devices such as pacemakers and defibrillators.

Throughout his career, Dr. Ullah has worked in several of Ireland’s leading 24/7 Primary PCI centres, gaining extensive hands-on experience in high-volume interventional cardiology.

Beyond his clinical work, Dr. Ullah has contributed to academic research as a sub-investigator in the Cardiology & Pharmacy Research Department at St James’s Hospital. His research has been published in peer-reviewed journals and presented at both national and international cardiology conferences.

Outside of medicine, Dr. Ullah is an avid cricket enthusiast and enjoys spending quality time with his family and three children.
