Work History
Dr. Boers worked as a junior doctor (intern, resident / SHO and registrar) at the Prince Henry and Prince of Wales Hospitals, Sydney, as well as several other affiliated hospitals in Sydney and regional New South Wales. After completing his neurology specialty training, Dr. Boers was appointed as a Staff Specialist (Consultant) in Neurology at St. George Hospital (one of the largest teaching hospitals in Sydney), in 2001 (prior to his UK Fellowship), and then from 2002 to 2008. During his time at St. George Hospital, he was also the Director of the Acute Stroke Unit.
In 2008, Dr. Boers was appointed Consultant Neurologist at the Mid-Western Regional Hospital, Limerick (now University Hospital Limerick). In addition, he has private rooms at Bon Secours Hospital Limerick at Barringtons.
