The Interventional Cardiovascular Suite in the Bon Secours Hospital Dublin is a purpose built, state of the art facility. The department provides diagnostic and therapeutic interventions for both cardiac and vascular disorders.
The purpose built state of the art facility Interventional Cardiovascular Suite in the Bon Secours Hospital Dublin opened in 2011 to provide diagnostic and therapeutic interventions for cardiac and vascular disorders.
Patients of the interventional suite may be either in-patients or day case patients depending upon the procedure.
Within the suite, the most modern Siemens imaging equipment has been installed. For the comfort of our patients, there is a large seven bed day ward / recovery area attached to the suite all of which have cardiac monitors and a central monitoring station.

Dr Doyle joined the Consultant staff in the Bon Secours in 2016. He previously served as a Consultant Cardiologist and a Professor of Medicine at the Mayo Clinic in the United States (2004-2010). His special interest is in the treatment of coronary artery disease, complex coronary stenting and percutaneous treatment of chronic total coronary occlusion.

Originally from Athlone, Dr Keaney graduated from UCD medical school in 2004. During his initial cardiac training in Ireland, he was awarded a Newman Fellowship in translational Medicine from UCD and the Mater. Dr Keaney undertook a fellowship in complex cardiac electrophysiology in Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston, the largest teaching hospital of Harvard Medical School.
Dr Keaney took up a position as a consultant electrophysiologist and cardiologist in the Mater Misericordiae University Hospital in 2016, and is now the director of the Electrophysiology program at the Mater.
In addition to the Newman Fellowship above, Dr Keaney has contributed to a number of academic texts, including being an invited contributor to the most recent addition of the European Society of Cardiology textbook, and international guideline-writing committees. His main areas of research are catheter ablation of arrhythmias and stroke prevention in AF.

Dr Keelan graduated from UCD in 1993. He completed his Cardiology training in the Mater & St Vincent’s Hospitals in Dublin and also in the Mayo Clinic USA where he undertook Fellowship in Interventional Cardiology and also research that culminated in the award of MD degree from UCD. He was appointed to Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital Drogheda and the Mater Misericordiae University Hospital in 2004 and has been in practice there since. He also practices in the Mater Private Hospital. His specialties include Coronary Angiography & Stenting, Cardiac Pacing and Cardiovascular Pharmacology.

Prof McAdam graduated from Trinity College Dublin in 1987. He is Director of Imaging and Heart Failure at Beaumont Hospital, Consultant Cardiologist and Associate Professor of Medicine RCSI School of Medicine.

Prof Peter Naughton has worked as a Consultant Vascular and Endovascular Surgeon in Beaumont since 2011 and as a Senior Lecturer with RCSI. He is a graduate of RCSI and completed his basic and higher surgical training in Dublin followed by a one year fellowship in St Mary’s Hospital, London and a 2 year endovascular fellowship in North Western Memorial Hospital, Chicago. He joined the Vascular Surgical team in the Bon Secours Hospital in Dublin in 2014.
Peter is a member of the American Venous Forum, Irish Society of Vascular Surgery and the European Society of Vascular Surgery
Peter has a specialist interest in both open and endovascular treatment for venous, peripheral vascular and aneurysmal disease

Beaumont Hospital
Dr Patrick O’Boyle is an interventional cardiologist in Dublin with extensive international training. Dr O’Boyle studied medicine at the University of Cambridge and St George’s Hospital, University of London. After further medical training at St Thomas’ Hospital, London and in Queensland Australia he specialised in cardiology in Glasgow, Scotland.
Dr O’Boyle received advanced training in complex coronary intervention during his fellowship at the Golden Jubilee National Hospital in Scotland, he now specialises in routine and complex stenting procedures, intravascular imaging and coronary physiology. Dr O’Boyle is a fellow of the Royal College of Physicians in Ireland.
Worrying about heart problems can be a stressful time and Dr O’Boyle seeks to guide patients through their treatment with kindness and expert care.
Originally from Belfast, Dr O’Boyle is delighted to be home in Ireland and is accepting new patient referrals.

Dr Bhanu Prakash Srinivas is a Consultant Cardiologist in Bons Secours Hospital Dublin. He has been a practising Consultant Cardiologist in Mater University Hospital, and Our Lady’s Hospital, Navan since 2019. He completed his Cardiology Specialist Training in Ireland culminating in a dedicated Interventional Fellowship. He has completed a Masters in Healthcare Management and is committed to improving patient experiences.
His areas of expertise include general cardiology with speciality interest in coronary artery disease, pacemakers, and complex coronary artery intervention.
