Pathology at the Bon Secours Hospital Dublin is a consultant-led service with over 45 scientific, assistant, clerical and phlebotomy staff, supporting 18 clinical units within the hospital including gastroenterology and endoscopy, surgery, cardiology, medicine and oncology.
The department performs a wide range of clinical laboratory investigations which are used to prevent, identify and monitor diseases and their treatment. The investigations are performed by experienced scientific staff, supported by Consultant Pathologists and histopathologists in each of the laboratory areas.
The laboratories are INAB-accredited and, being part of the Bon Secours Hospital Dublin, are also JCI-accredited, giving service users' confidence in our commitment to the quality of our laboratory testing and our support for best practice in patient care.
Particular testing to support gastroenterology patients include:
