About
Seamus McHugh graduated from UCD in 2005. He completed his post graduate research MD with RCSI in2011. Following surgical training in General and Vascular Surgery in Ireland, he travelled to Toronto where he completed a Clinical Fellowship in Vascular and Endovascular Surgery. He was appointed as Consultant Vascular Surgeon in Beaumont Hospital in 2016.
To date he has published over 50 peer reviewed articles, received the Clinical Research Associate of the Year award at the Irish Healthcare Awards. He was the speciality editor for vascular surgery with “The Surgeon” journal from 2016 - 2024. He was voted "Consultant teacher of the year 2024" by Beaumont Hospital RCSI medical students.
