Bon Secours Hospital Cork sponsors new Cancer Connect minivan to support patients across East Cork

Bon Secours Hospital Cork is proud to announce the sponsorship of a new eight-seater minivan for Cancer Connect, a local Cork charity providing free, confidential transport for patients attending cancer treatment.

Cancer Connect offers an essential service to individuals and families across County Cork, supporting patients who may be too unwell to drive themselves, or who may not have family or friends available to bring them to and from hospital appointments. Their volunteer-led transport service supports patients attending Bon Secours Hospital Cork and other hospitals in Cork City.

Supporting patients across East Cork

Based in Youghal, the new 8-seater minivan will help to transport patients from across the East Cork region to hospitals in Cork City, ensuring safe and reliable access to care.

This additional vehicle will strengthen Cancer Connect’s ability to respond to patient needs across the region and reduce barriers to treatment and appointments.

A vital service delivered by volunteers

Bon Secours Hospital Cork would like to acknowledge and thank Cancer Connect’s volunteers and leadership team, whose commitment ensures this service continues to operate for patients who need it most.

Part of our Community Outreach Programme

This sponsorship forms part of Bon Secours Hospital Cork’s Community Outreach Programme, which supports the wider local communities we serve and reflects our commitment to supporting patient wellbeing beyond the hospital setting.
