Mr Flynn qualified from UCC in 1999 and began his ophthalmology training Cork. He moved to London in 2004 where he was awarded a PhD for research on corneal transplant immunology at Moorfields Eye Hospital/University College, London, Europe's largest centre for eye treatment and research
