Cork City Football Club are delighted to announce Bon Secours Hospital Cork as the club’s Official Healthcare Partner for 2018.

Cork City Football Club are delighted to announce Bon Secours Hospital Cork as the club’s Official Healthcare Partner for 2018.

For the 2018 season the club will use the various services at the Hospital including the specialist Orthopaedic Sports Medicine and Radiology services, for the men’s first team. The Bon Secours presence can be seen on the back right of the men’s first team shorts, in Turner’s Cross with a pitch side sign located at the Derrynane Road side of the pitch, as well on the club’s’ website homepage.

Harry Canning, the General Manager of Bon Secours Hospital Cork said “We are delighted to officially partner with Cork City FC, the national league and cup champions. The Bon Secours Sports Medicine department already had a good working relationship before this agreement and now that relationship becomes stronger. Being associated with Cork City FC, at a time of exciting growth and success for both organisations is something we are proud of.”

Commenting on the partnership, First Team Manager John Caulfield said “At Cork City FC, we want our professional players to have the best of everything. This is a key partnership for the club and it ensures that our players are receiving the best medical advice and care.”

Corky the Cheetah together with first team players, Steven Beattie, Johnny Dunleavy and Garry Buckley, all recently visited the children’s ward at the hospital. They met many excited young fans, as well as meeting the hard-working hospital staff.

Bon Secours Health System Cork is Ireland’s largest private hospital, and it is also one of the largest private hospitals in Europe. The hospital, on College Road, was established in 1915 and has more than 300 beds.  They employ more than 1,000 staff and admit about 35,000 patients every year. It is a general hospital providing an extensive range of medical and surgical specialties for adults and children.
