Annual Physiotherapy Education Day takes place in the Bon Secours Hospital Tralee

Bon Secours Hospital Tralee was delighted to welcome over 40 physiotherapists from Kerry, Cork, Limerick and beyond to the annual Physiotherapy Education Day in Bon Secours Hospital Tralee on Friday February 15th.

The event marked the 10th Physiotherapy Day facilitated by Mr. Ross Kingston, Consultant Orthopaedic at Bon Secours Hospital Tralee.

Our delegates started with an interactive talk by Mr Kingston, who’s practice focuses largely on upper limb/shoulder surgery including cuff repairs and shoulder replacements. Mr Kingston spoke on shoulder stabilization; when to seek surgical advice. Tara Timlin, Specialist Physiotherapist at the Tralee Physiotherapy Clinic, spoke about the benefits of vestibular physiotherapy for patients.  Dr Brendan Conroy, Consultant Anaesthetist and Pain Specialist at the Bon Secours Hospital Tralee, who’s practice focuses on pain management, spoke about the diagnosis and management of sacroiliac joint pain. Lynch Medical provided hands on experience with shoulder anchors which helped simulate the process of a shoulder cuff repair and stabilization.

Bon Secours Hospital Tralee would like to thank all who attended with a special thanks to our speakers, for sharing their great knowledge and expertise throughout the day. We would also like to extend our thanks to John Culkin and Conor Bourke of Lynch Medical who took time to demonstrate the Arthrex shoulder instruments.
