Bon Secours is the French for “good help”. The Bon Secours Mission is bringing “good help to those in need”.
Our Mission is to minister to the sick, the suffering, the dying and their families, in other words, “those in need”. This is why the Bon Secours Health System Care Facilities exist.
Our Mission is what we do, why we do it and how we do it. Our Mission sets out our core purpose, which is care of the sick; it gives us direction and helps us to remember who we are.
We achieve our Mission by delivering Advanced Medicine and Exceptional Care.
Founded by the Sisters of Bon Secours, our hospitals have as their mission, care for the sick, the dying and their families within a Catholic Ethos.
Inspired by the Gospel and sharing in the healing mission of Jesus, we recognise the dignity and uniqueness of each person, seeking to provide high quality, holistic care which is characterised by compassion, respect, justice and hope.
Bon Secours Health System is part of the health care ministry of the Catholic Church. Caring for those in need is the way we demonstrate our love for God and our neighbour.
We provide compassionate care for people of all races and religions. Being a Catholic Health System means that we are committed to Gospel principles and beliefs, regarding the dignity and rights of people.
The Bon Secours Health System logo or symbol was developed from the flower known as the fleur-de-lis or iris; it reflects the beginning of the ministry of the Sisters of Bon Secours in France. It also portrays the cross reaching out to others.
It reminds us that we are part of a rich tradition of ministry to the sick.
