Ms Tanya Moutray has worked as an NHS Consultant Ophthalmologist in the Belfast Trust since 2012. She completed subspecialty training in Medical Retina and Uveitis in the Bristol Eye Hospital.

Ms Moutray is a member of the Irish College of Ophthalmologists. She is a general Ophthalmologist with experience in managing all eye conditions. Through specialist training she is an expert in OCT imaging of the eye, and provides the most up-to-date medical treatment of retinal conditions based on the latest research to provide patients with the best possible outcomes.
Ms Moutray has been involved in research and presented findings at numerous international conferences in the area of macular degeneration. She was a Principle Investigator within the Clinical Research Unit in the Belfast Trust. She actively supports national charities for the visually impaired through educational talks and collaborative working.
Ms Moutray is actively involved in training and has completed a Postgraduate Diploma in Medical Education. Since working in Cork she is delighted to be leading a project on Virtual Reality within Medical Education with UCC.
