Always at the leading edge of endoscopy services in Ireland, we have recently launched a new Endoscopy Ultrasound Service (EUS).
The hospital's endoscopy unit which welcomes 13,000 patients each year is the first private unit in Ireland to provide the service. EUS is used to examine the upper and lower gastrointestinal tract and nearby organs such as the pancreas and gall bladder and if necessary to take a fine needle sample of tissue. The introduction of EUS is just one of many exciting, planned developments for the unit over the coming months.
