Approximately fifty GPs attended a ‘suturing workshop’ hosted by Mr John Curran Consultant Plastic & Reconstructive Surgeon in the Bon Secours Hospital Tralee on the 15th of October.
Mr John Curran, along with his Associate Plastic Surgeon, Mr Ovidiu Suciu held an interactive suturing workshop. This event was well received by our GPs who had previously expressed an interest in such a workshop through our GP forum.
The GPs attended two further workshops on the night entitled ‘Management of the Diabetic Foot’ which was led by our new Consultant Endocrinologist, Dr Khalid Ahmed. Dr Noirin NiScannlain also held a workshop on ‘Red Leg Syndrome’ and the use of antibiotics in Dermatology. There was a great atmosphere on the night with positive feedback received from our GPs.
