All patients must present accurate medical insurance information. The hospital will file the insurance claims, but the health insurance is a contract between the patient and the insurance company. However, it is the patient's responsibility to see that our fees are paid in full in a reasonable timeframe. The amount your insurance pays is based on the policy the patient has purchased. Charges can vary depending on your planned procedures and/or insurance cover. Please call us in advance to confirm charges, which may be payable on the day.
Mammogram, ultrasound and consultant surgeon fees are payable on the day you attend. These expenses can be submitted as part of your outpatient claim to your insurer.
Should you require a biopsy or fine needle aspiration, this may be covered directly by your insurer depending on your level of insurance cover.

Patients are advised to contact the hospital in advance in relation to the any self-payment arrangements. Payment is expected in full on the day of your appointment. All payment arrangements must be confirmed prior to the patient's appointment.
The financial responsibility for services rendered rests totally with the patient and their insurer. All fees are expected to be paid at the time services are rendered, unless the fees are payable by the insurer. In the latter case, the patient is required to sign an insurance claim form for the appropriate insurer. A rebate of medical fees paid can be claimed from www.revenue.ie using the Med 1 form.
