FIT+ Fitness and Injury Testing

At Bon Secours Hospital Tralee, we know that understanding your health is the key to making the most out of your training and exercise. 

Our fitness screening program, Fitness+, enables you to take a proactive approach to your own personal wellbeing. 

Our experienced Exercise Specialist will work with you to get a baseline of your current level of fitness and to identify your strengths and weaknesses. 

Your Fitness+ profile tests include:

  • Body Composition (Height, Weight, % Body based on Skin-Fold Calipers Test, Hip and Waist Ratio)
  • Hamstring and Lower Back Strength
  • Isometric hand/arm strength test
  • Shoulder Flexibility/ Range of Motion
  • Upper Body Strength Muscular Endurance 
  • Blood Pressure/ Resting Heart Rate

 

Additional optional tests include:

  • VO2 Max test to measure aerobic capacity
  • Postural Analysis to highlight any postural imbalances that can be corrected through exercise
  • Vertical jump endurance test measurement of muscular strength and power of the lower body.
