The course was delivered by Paul Harrison, Specialist Rehabilitation Services, Sheffield.
The course focused on the management of a patient with suspected or actual spinal injury. It included spinal protective logrolling, lateral transfers and application of neck collars. Attendees included nurses, care assistants, clinical placement coordinators, clinical facilitator, physiotherapists and ADONs.
Going forwards, this interdisciplinary course will optimise our management of patients with actual or suspected spinal cord injury, so that they know ‘We’ve Got Your Back’!!
