International Federation for the Surgery of Obesity and Metabolic disorders (IFSO) Congress

Congratulations to Hayder Shabana (Surgical registrar), Bon Secours Hospital Cork and Aaron Ho (Final Year medical Student) who, between them, gave four oral presentations at the International Federation for the Surgery of Obesity and Metabolic disorders (IFSO) Congress in Madrid in September. The meeting was attended by over 3000 delegates. All research was co-ordinated by Drs Doherty, O’Sullivan and Mr O’Boyle and executed by, in addition to the two presenters, Diarmuid Duggan (Senior Dietician), Emily O’Reilly (SHO), Inderjeet Panaasar (Intern), Kah Jin Lee (Final Year Medical student) and David Felske (Intern). Mr O’Boyle was on faculty for the meeting.
