Infusion Clinic
The infusion clinic is a specialized Out Patient Clinic in the Bon Secours Hospital Tralee. It is a nurse lead clinic, under the direction of the patient’s Consultant. Infusions can take from 2 hours up to 6 hours depending on your treatment which has been prescribed for you by your Consultant.
The Infusion Clinic is a self contained unit where you have blood drawn, intravenous medication given and close monitoring by the Infusion Team.
The Infusion Team liaise closely with your Consultant regarding your on going treatment and follow up care. Subsequent appointments can be booked by the Infusion Team if further infusions are necessary.
In the Infusion Clinic there are two treatment rooms with a total of eight recliner chairs. A light snack will be provided to you during your stay. The Infusion Team will answer any concerns or questions you may have regarding your treatment whilst in the department.
