We are delighted to support Anam Cara through the Bon Secours Community Initiative Fund

Anam Cara Kerry - Supporting Parents after Bereavement received the most nominations from hospital wards and departments in QI of 2019. Mary Cahill, Healthcare Chaplain presents cheque of €2,000 in funding support from our Hospital’s Community Initiative Programme to Theresa Walsh, professional facilitator at Anam Cara Kerry and Gillian Tobin, one of its founder parents.

Anam Cara understands we don’t live in an ideal world, we live in a world after our precious children have died before their time. Bereaved parents set up this organisation to help themselves and all bereaved parents cope with their grief and loss and journey on. All its services are provided free of charge to bereaved mothers and fathers and the donation of €2,000 will go towards the running costs of this group. Anam Cara Kerry meets monthly at the Recovery Haven Centre on the 2nd Tuesday of each month from 7.30 – 9pm.  All bereaved parents are welcome regardless to the age of their child or the circumstances of their death.
