Bon Secours Hospital Tralee signs a Memorandum of Understanding with Escola Superior de Tecnologia da Saude de Coimbra University.

On 6th January 2020 the Bon Secours Hospital Tralee signed a Memorandum of Understanding with Escola Superior de Tecnologia da Saude de Coimbra University. This will facilitate students from Bachelor of Clinical Physiology course at Coimbra University to undertake a three month Erasmus internship in the Bon Secours Hospital Tralee.
The agreement was signed by the President of Escola Superior de Tecnologia da Saude de Coimbra University, Mr Joao Jose Joaquim, and Mary Nagle Respiratory Advanced Nurse Practitioner in the Bon Secours Hospital Tralee who visited Coimbra. Mary was accompanied by her colleague Helena Dias Senior Respiratory Physiologist a previous student of Coimbra University (2014).
They attended a welcome reception by Mr Joao Jose Joaquim, President, Ms Marta Vasconcelos Pinto, Vice President, Mr Telmo Pereira Director of the department of Clinical Physiology and Mr Rui Lopes representing the International Relation Office.
This exciting venture begins on 27th January 2020. Ana Rita Marques and Daniela Dias 4th year student of Clinical Physiology of ESTESC will be the first two students who will begin Erasmus internship work placement in the Respiratory department and Cardiology department in the Bon Secours Hospital Tralee.
