The Oral Surgery department, led by Mr Paul Keogh, deals with a variety of problems relating to the mouth and facial regions. Our Consultant Oral Surgeon provides specialist care in a patient friendly and supportive environment.

The Oral Surgery department at Bon Secours Hospital Tralee is led by Mr Paul Keogh. Mr Keogh was appointed as a  Consultant in Oral Surgery to the Bon Secours Hospital Tralee in 2004. Since then he has been providing Oral Surgery Specialist Care in a patient friendly and supportive environment, to the people of the South West of Ireland. Mr Keogh deals with a variety of problems relating to the mouth and facial regions. Within our specialist Oral Surgery Practice, particular emphasis is placed on wisdom teeth removal, extractions, diagnosis and treatment of Oral Pathology for patients throughout the Kerry and Limerick region.

  • Monday, Tuesday & Thursday: 9.00am-1.00pm. - 2.00pm-5.30pm,
  • Wednesday: 8.30am-1.00pm - 2.00pm-5.30pm,
  • Friday: 9.00am-1.00pm - 2.00pm -5.00pm

A letter of referral from a general medical practitioner or a general dental practitioner is required.

Consultation Process

Your initial appointment will consist of a consultation to facilitate a diagnosis and an  explanation of patient’s treatment options.

Biography

Mr Keogh is a Consultant Oral Surgeon with extensive experience in all aspects of Oral Surgery.  

Mr Keogh was apppointed as a Consultant Oral Surgeon to the Bon secours Hospital Tralee in October 2004

Mr Keogh has lectured in anatomy and physiology at Trinity College Dublin, and was a fulltime Clinical Supervisor at Dublin Dental School and Hospital.

He is currently a clinical senior lecturer in UCC and a lecturer in Forensic Medicine in the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland.

Mr Keogh has particpated in numerous Presentations and Publications, along with being a member of the Irish Dental Association,  American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons , American Society of Forensic Odontology,and the International Association of Dental Research (Irish Division) 

Areas of Interest

Mr Paul Keogh has experience in all aspects of Oral Surgery, with a special interest in the treatment of benign cysts and tumours of the oral cavity.
