Dr Ihsan Ullah graduated from University of Peshawar Pakistan in 2004 and obtained MRCPI in 2010.
He started his training in cardiology in University Hospital Limerick in 2010 and completed the Irish Cardiology Specialist training scheme. He has completed his Fellowship in interventional cardiology in St. James’s Hospital/Trinity College Dublin.
In addition to his experience in general cardiology he gained significant experience performing percutaneous coronary intervention during his fellowship. He worked as a sub investigator in Cardiology/Pharmacology Research Department in St. James’s Hospital Dublin and published his research in peer review journals. He also presented in national and international meetings.
Prior to taking up this current position as a Consultant Interventional Cardiologist in University Hospital Limerick, Dr Ihsan Ullah worked as a Consultant Cardiologist in St. James’s Hospital Dublin and University Hospital Limerick for more than three years.
His special interests include complex coronary intervention, transcatheter aortic valve replacement (TAVR) and valvular heart disease. He is also fully trained in devices implantation.
Dr Ihsan Ullah is happily married with three children.
