Do not forget that if you are being admitted to the hospital, all drugs, alternative medicines, supplements and over the counter remedies that you might be taking at home before your admission must be brought into the hospital with you. These should be given to nursing staff on admission who will distribute them during the course of your stay. This will ensure brand continuity and also immediate availability of your prescribed medication. It also ensures that all medications taken whilst in hospital are accurately recorded into your patients’ chart.
