On Thursday, 13th October, Mr. Harry Canning, CEO, presented a cheque for €25,000 to The Shine Centre for Autism, Cork.
Thanks to this generous support from the Cork Hospital’s Community Initiative Fund, the centre will soon launch “The Gateway Programme”, an exciting new initiative that will offer young autistic adults to access the workplace and engage in meaningful employment that will focus on their strengths, interests and capabilities.
The programme will provide pre-employment training and ongoing support to the employee and the employers and will aim at ensuring sustained employment for the employees over time. BSHC wishes Kieran and all the team every success in the coming months.
