Bon Secours Hospital Limerick Launch of the County Senior Hurling Championship Final

The 2022 Bon Secours Limerick County Senior Hurling Championship Final was launched this Monday evening. Kilmallock and Na Piarsaigh go head to head for the 3rd time in Limerick Hurling’s showpiece decider in what will be an historic occasion at the TUS Gaelic Grounds.

The October 30th final will mark the first game played on the new surface which has been completely relayed and will be showcased to a national audience with the game to be broadcast Live on TG4.

The day will also mark the 25th anniversary of Limerick winning the 1997 National Hurling League and the team will be honoured at half time in the game.

Speaking at the launch earlier in the week Bernadette Carroll of Bon Secours Hospital Limerick, spoke of their delight to be on board as sponsors of the Limerick Senior Hurling Championship and with how the season has gone. Bernadette commended the clubs by congratulating them on such an achievement in reaching the final and wished them the best of luck on the 30th October on the new surface in the Gaelic Grounds. Bernadette also acknowledged John Cregan’s contribution to Limerick GAA and how Bon Secours have enjoyed working with him in his role.

John Cregan, Chairman, Limerick County GAA Board, thanked Bernadette & her team at the Bon Secours Hospital Limerick for their continued support and partnership for the Senior Hurling Championship & also the hurling league 2022, saying “we greatly value our partnership with Bon Secours Hospital Limerick & are delighted to be associated with a such a reputable health care provider. Limerick County Board are very appreciative of your continued sponsorship.”

Bon Secours Hospital Limerick & Limerick GAA have a long-standing relationship at the hospital, not least due to the partnership already in place that sees players receive access to world-class scans for diagnosis of injuries.

The day will be a family friendly afternoon with the Liam MacCarthy Cup on show and available for patrons to get their photo taken with the cup under 16's are free if accompanied by an adult with entrance fees are €20 for adults with OAP / Student €15.
