On Thursday, 18 August 2022, Paul Foley, Interim CEO Bon Secours Hospital Dublin signed an agreement with An Taisce committing the Hospital to the Green Campus Programme. The Bon Secours Hospital in Glasnevin is one of only 9 hospitals in Ireland committed to this programme.
The Green Flag is awarded to institutions that can demonstrate a significant history of commitment to environmental care and sustainability. The Bon Secours Health System 2025 Plan has “Embed a culture of sustainability” as a strategic initiative, linked to how we live our mission. The Hospital will develop and implement an action plan focusing on three key environmental areas: litter and waste, energy and biodiversity. Much is already happening in the Bon Secours in Dublin in support of the sustainability agenda, and this new project will drive momentum.
