Personal Details:

Professor Kieran Daly, MB, BCH, BAO, DCH, MRCPI is a Consultant Cardiologist at Galway University Hospital and Clinical Professor in the Department of Medicine at the National University of Ireland, Galway. He is currently the Clinical Lead for the National Acute Coronary Syndrome Programme

Professional Details:

In 1984, Professor Daly was appointed as the first Cardiologist in the Western Health Board and since then he has overseen the transformational development of the Department of Cardiology at Galway University Hospital. He is a founder member of Croí , the West of Ireland Cardiac Foundation and recent Past Chairman of its Board of Directors. Professor Daly is a Fellow of the European Society of Cardiology and the American College of Cardiology. He was recognised as a Galway Person of the Year 2008 for his contribution to the fight against heart disease in the region
