Special Interests:
Legal Medicine: At her Legal Medicine Clinic, Dr. Leader assesses victims of post accident and abuse trauma and specialises in post traumatic stress disorder. She has assessed thousands of victims of institutional abuse, has frequently attended hearings before the Residential Institutions Redress Board and is a recognised expert in the field. She has experience and expertise in determining capacity relating to issues such as ward of court, enduring power of attorney, consent to fair deal etc. Dr. Leader is a consultant to Injuries Board.ie (the Personal Injuries Assessment Board).
Liaison Psychiatry: Dr. Leader combines her legal medicine practice with clinical work in the Bon Secours Hospital, St. Vincent’s University Hospital and St. John of God Hospital. She is a consultant to the Mental Health Commission.
