Mr. Ijaz Cheema joined the Bon Secours Hospital in 2016. He has extensive experience in all disciplines of Urology and has expertise in minimal invasive surgery of the prostate, bladder and kidneys.
He has worked as a Consultant Urologist in AMNCH, Tallaght and St. James Hospital before taking a permanent Urological Surgeon post in Beaumont and Connolly Hospital Blanchardstown.
He graduated in Pakistan and completed his basic surgical training in Lahore, Pakistan. He then moved to Ireland in 2003 to commence his training in Urology in Galway and through rotation, was transferred to centres of excellence in Dublin. He secured an Intercollegiate Fellowship in Urology in 2011 and qualified as a specialist registrar in 2012.
Areas of Interest
Mr Cheema has a paticular interest in UTI's, Over Active Bladder and Female Urinary Incontinence, with an expertise in female sling surgery for incontinence.
