Biography
Dr Valea graduated from one of the leading Romanian universities “Carol Davila” University of Medicine and Pharmacy in Bucharest in 2010. She completed a highly specialised rheumatology training scheme gathering years of clinical experience both in Romania and Ireland following which she was certified as a Rheumatology Specialist in 2015.
She is a recipient of a research grant from the European Society of Rheumatology conducting a study on Ultrasound findings in asymptomatic hyperuricemia in Adelaide and Meath Hospital Dublin in 2014. She has also been appointed Country Liaison for Ireland with the Emerging EULAR Network, a young rheumatologists society.
She has worked as a Rheumatology Consultant in Our Lady’s Hospital Navan, St Vincent’s Hospital Dublin and Connolly Hospital.
