Northern Ireland Orthopaedic Patients at the Bon Secours Hospital Dublin

Cross Border Directive

If you live in Northern Ireland and are on the waiting list for Hip or Knee Surgery you may be eligible for treatment in the Bon Secours Hospital Dublin through your local NHS Healthcare Trust or HSC Board under the Cross Border Directive.

The Cross Border Directive allows a patient to travel to another EU country and receive care in that country. The cost of the procedure is paid for initially by the patient and refunded by the NHS with the original receipt.

The Bon Secours Hospital Dublin is located in North Dublin just off the M50 and M1 and has been welcoming and caring patients from Northern Ireland under this special initiative since its introduction. The hospital is internationally accredited and includes a team of 10 expert orthopaedic surgeons and a dedicated orthopaedic theatre which has been completely redeveloped in the last 16 months.  With plenty of parking available and a convenient location, the hospital is the complete package for Orthopaedic patients travelling from Northern Ireland.

For details about the special package price for Hip and Knee surgery, please send an email to orthopaedics@bonsecours.ie or call Letitia in Dublin on +353 1 8065305.
