€10,000 donated to ChildVision – National Education Centre for Blind Children

As part of the Community Initiative Programme, the Bon Secours Hospital Dublin recently donated €10,000 to ChildVision – National Education Centre for Blind Children.  The money will provide a program of Equine Assisted Occupational Therapy (EAOT) Visually impaired children will be able to avail of horse riding sessions with a Horse Riding Instructor and an experienced side walker.  The children will benefit greatly from the connection with the horses, the sensory experience of the horse’s movement and the increased demand of their postural control and the increased confidence that will be gained through such an experience.
